Claude Monet

Pierre-Auguste Renoir (25 February 1841 – 3 December 1919) was one of the founding members of the Impressionist movement and is known for his paintings of pretty women. He often worked outdoors alongside Monet, depicting the new middle class and its lifestyle.

Renoir was fascinated by the rise of the bourgeoisie - the French new middle class - as well as by its lifestyle. This painting also showcases one of the Impressionists' signatures- painting outdoors.
