Haussmann | Between 1853-1870, Paris went through a massive renovation that included the demolition of overcrowded neighborhoods and the construction of wide avenues, parks, and squares. This project was commissioned by Napoleon III and designed by Georges-Eugène Haussmann. Those changes were captured in many Impressionists' works.
